Tribometer Test Suite

Configure

Select the samples that should be tested and choose how many repetitions, or rounds, should be run. The random seed controls the shuffled order, so the same seed recreates the same run table.

Use this tab before the physical test starts. The output is the planned order of sample measurements.

Run Table

This tab shows the generated run order. You can filter by round, sample type, sample ID, or run number while testing.

Export the table as CSV if you want a checklist for the lab or a record to store with the experiment data.

Recipe

Load a tribometer recipe file, normally `.Rx`. The program translates the XML into readable test instructions: force, speed steps, temperature logic, stop conditions, logging channels, and reset actions.

The side-by-side XML view helps users learn which recipe syntax corresponds to each explanation. Click or hover linked blocks to move between the raw recipe and the readable explanation.

Analyzer

Load a DAQ CSV file from the tribometer. The analyzer groups data by recipe step, plots raw points and step means, finds the minimum COF or torque point, and tests whether the post-minimum branch has a positive slope.

Use Surrogate mode for COF or torque versus RPM. Use Real Stribeck mode when radius, viscosity, and optionally contact area are available, so the x-axis can be Hersey number or a Hersey-like load term.
